More Fantastic Comping Stories
If you're thinking about taking up comping as a hobby or just wondering whether people do actually win anything, take a look at the comping testimonials below.
The following inspirational stories have been supplied by users of our sister site at www.cheap-postcards.co.ukI received your newsletter today which I look forward to every week.
Thought I would tell you how I got into comping. I was, and probably will be in the future, a Pop Idol freak. Watched it every week to the point of having parties and inviting friends round so we could cheer the favourites on over a glass of vino.
Goodness only knows what I wrote!
I had never entered a competition really in my life.
Anyway the next week I had a phone call on my mobile from the Pop Idol team saying they loved what I'd written (still don't know) and would I be on their quiz the next day. And so I was.
Having won the competition on air, answering as many general knowledge questions in one minute as I could, I learnt that it was too late to win tickets to the final.
And it all seemed so easy.
From there I discovered the world of comping. It had been there all along, in supermarkets and in magazines etc, but I was blind to it.
Now I see the word win everywhere I go.
I've been full time comping since January. My first prize was a rugby ball, a win is a win! Since then I have won a three night trip to Milan which I went on at the beginning of this month. I've won a two night stay in a Hilton hotel, money, books, dvd's, cinema tickets, first class rail tickets to London etc etc.
Its amazing.
Who knows what the next win will be! I would, obviously, love to win a car so was pleased with your newsletter today. And I would love to win a fantastic holiday somewhere. In a few short months my life has changed. I've got the best hobby ever, everyone I know gets excited about it. And what do I get excited about - I just love writing the postcards. So I'm off to go through your latest competitions now, fingers crossed hey!

I got into comping after being forced to resign from a lucrative career through a rare illness.
I moped around for a while and then I read about some successful prize-winners in a magazine and I thought I would have a go.
This year has been even madder with a fantastic 4 day luxury trip to New York plus $500 staying at the Waldorf Astoria.
The ultimate prize though was winning a Millionaire Weekend to London (for 2) with diet Coke and Safeway. It included:
First class rail travel
5 star hotel
£500 Spa Treatments
£250 for top London restaurant of our choice
£1,000 spending money
PLUS the chance to win $1,000,000!
I had decided on 14 but it was actually in 20, the envelope underneath.
How amazing is that!
We had a fabulous weekend though and comping is the best thing I have ever done - almost worth the illness!
I believe in 'positive thinking' and 'goal-setting' and I include in my goals winning lots of brilliant prizes. Every night before sleep I tell myself I am a successful prize winner (this was before I started winning the big ones).
It's not luck, it's belief and the fact I do lots. Thanks for giving me this chance to tell my story.
