Keeping Comping Records and Tracking Wins

For the past couple of years I have been keeping records of most of my offline competition entries.

Here are a few tips for recording your details.

Firstly start a spreadsheet in Excel where you can record any wins.

I have a column for each of the following - Date/Prize/Company/Online or Offline/Value.

You can of course add any columns you wish.
I find it really helps motivate you in December when you look back over the year and remember the various different prizes!

To record my postcard entries I start a folder with dividers for each month and store all my weekly printoffs in date order.

Next to each competition I make a note of any special way in which I entered the competition.

For example if I used a glitter or coloured pen to write the details on or if I used a coloured envelope for a paper entry.
